LUSH BIG Sea Salt Shampoo

Is your hair limp and dull? Do you want to give it extra volume and shine? Why don't you try a different shampoo experience!!

I heard about BIG from a YouTube channel: missglamorazzi (I love Ingrid and she really makes great reviews on make-up and other skincare products!) I got curious with the shampoo's special ingredient: SEA SALT.

Sea salt in a shampoo? Why not give it a try then. It'll be quite different from the usual creamy shampoo I use everyday. :)

LUSH BIG Sea Salt Shampoo 310 g (Price: P995)

Product Description:
Have a big hair day. This is like having your hair lifted on a sea breeze. Sea salt shampoo to give your hair lift and volume, make it easy to get a comb through and smell great for hours.

The product comes in a black pot which you twist to open and close. It is my first time to buy shampoo in a pot such as this one!

It is quite expensive for a shampoo (Price: P995). Though it seems to have a lot of product inside. So might as well give it a try. :)

I love LUSH because their products are handmade and made with love. :) They encourage their buyers to recycle by returning the 5 clean pots or tubes and get one fresh mask for free!! :)

They are also against Animal Testing! :) Cruelty Free! Love it!

On the side, you will see a yellow sticker. It indicates who made the product, when it was made, and when it will expire.

At the back part, it shows how to use it, a top tip, good to know information, and the ingredients of the product. :)

How to use:
Work gently and thoroughly through wet hair to create lather, then rinse away.

Top Tip:
Always shampoo twice with this one to get a luxurious thick lather and give your scalp and hair a really good treat.

Good to Know:
We carefully partnered the sea salt shampoo base with seaweed and coconut to give softness to the hair, fresh lemons and limes to give shine and then topped it off with a lovely bright and uplifting fragrance of neroli, mandarin, and vanilla.

Handmade With Fresh Ingredients:
Coarse Sea SaltSodium Laureth Sulfate, Fresh Lemon Infusion, Fresh Sea Water, Sea Mustard Extract, Cocamide DEA, Lauryl Betaine, Fresh Lime Juice, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Neroli Oil, Mandarin Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Orris Absolute, Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin, Perfume

Oh no! It has Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide DEA, Lauryl Betaine, Benzyl Benzoate, and perfume. If you have sensitive scalp, might as well think twice before purchasing this product. And I thought LUSH has organic ingredients. :(

When you open the pot, you'll immediately notice the sea salt granules. It is translucent in color, it's jelly-like and coarse in texture. It has a lemon-y scent which I like! :)

A small amount will do because the product lathers really well on wet hair. The sea salt can help exfoliate the scalp and after massaging it onto your hair for a few minutes, you won't feel the salt anymore. I'm not sure if it dissolves or if it falls on the floor. If it does fall on the floor, it can help exfoliate your feet as well. Double purpose! Hahahaha!

When I rinse it out, my hair feels clean and smells really good! :) It feels like you're in the beach on a summer day! But, it's hard to comb though (since my hair is color treated). I have to use a very moisturizing conditioner afterwards.

When my hair is air-dried, it feels bouncy and full of volume. My naturally wavy hair seems to be more wavy than ever! However, this shampoo is considered as a clarifying shampoo. I suggest using this in moderation or on a weekly basis for it really cleans your hair and scalp. We don't want to over clean it right?

Conclusion:
BIG is a great clarifying shampoo! It helps with volume and exfoliating the scalp. It smells great on the hair! It will leave it smelling great for hours! And like I said, it's really a different shampoo experience!

However, it is quite expensive for a shampoo, it has ingredients that are not healthy for our hair and scalp, and over-using it will contribute to dryness.

I'll continue to use it though and maybe consider repurchasing it. :)
